Materiality, Meaning, Media is the first exhibition of its kind, uncovering an area of contemporary creative practice at the intersection of fashion and performance. The exhibition brings together in one space an extraordinary selection of contemporary moving image based works from artists and designers including Hussein Chalayan, BOUDICCA, Bart Hess, Lucy Orta and Maria Schuller. By focusing on the shared understanding of clothing and the body and the similarity in methodologies in both experimental fashion and performance design an area of practice that sits between fashion and performance is uncovered.
